Andreu Buenafuente (Reus, Tarragona, 1965) is a comedian, television presenter and producer.
He made his debut on radio in 1982, and worked in Popular Radio of Reus (COPE) and the SER for 20 years.
In 1992 he first appeared on television in the program of Alfonso Arús "Al ataque" Antena 3 TV, and later as secondary in the TV program "Persones Humanes" by Miguel Calzada, "Mikimoto" TV3 where he excelled to the point of being rewarded his own solo program on TV3 called "Sense Títol."
He soon became a star on Catalan television and repeated the following year with "Sense Títol 2"; in 1998 with a program called "Sense Títol i Sense Número"; and 1999 was a great success with "La Cosa Nostra". In 2001 he had a short program called "Em sembla recordar que t’estimo però no t’ho podria assegurar" and in 2002 reached the highest levels of audience with "Una altra cosa."
In 2004 he was signed by Antena 3 TV. Since the spring of 2005 a series of night time programs called "Buenafuente" competed successfully with the "Crónicas Marcianas" by Xavier Sardà often exceeded the audience.
In 2007, he joined La Sexta, which continued the same program made for Antena 3. The producer is one of the owners of the channel. His production company, (El Terrat) has released some successful programs and series on TV3: "Malalts de tele" (1997), "Plats Bruts" (1998), "A pèl" (2002) and "Set de nit". He has also produced a series broadcast on Tele 5.
Buenafuente has written various books that have been media achievements for Sant Jordi: El terrat, Sense llibre, Digue’m agosarat, Hem de parlar, Allò que dèiem, Cosas nuestras, Lo dudo mucho, Què t’anava a dir?, No sé si m’explico i Com va la vida. Most of them are collections of his stories as a stand-up comedian, which he is most famous for.
He has won the Ondas Award three times and in 2009 was awarded International Gat Perich Humour Award.
From January 2015 presents a new program Leit Motiv on channel # 0 in chain Movistar+.
